UK Gives Green Light to Casinos Reopening in Some Regions

By | May 11, 2021

According to the recent news about the casino sector in Great Britain, very soon, land-based gambling venues will be officially allowed to have visitors.

The country’s government has scheduled the preliminary date when the pandemic restrictions will be relaxed, and entertainment establishments, including casinos and bingo halls, will get back to normal.

Approval is still expected

Although chances are that casinos in Scotland and England will resume their operation in May, final permission from the UK government is still required. However, it is clear that state agents already make moves towards returning the vertical to its normal condition. For example, not so long ago, betting shops in Scotland were allowed to reopen.

May 17 is the possible date for the reopening of casinos and bingo halls. The representatives of the British government say that these establishments will be able to open their doors for customers not later than this date at least. Moreover, some sources inform that operators in England have got an official permit to start even earlier. This doesn’t refer to Scotland as this region has a reverse situation. Initially, its authorities had the intention to allow such venues to reopen only after restaurants and cafes.
