The Reuters report the UAE government is going to allow gambling activity. However, each of the emirates must decide whether allow it or not. Therefore, the casino operators won’t be allowed to launch the establishment in any location. The names of such casino-friendly emirates will be introduced soon.
Anthony Costa, regional president at Caesars Palace, sees this regulation update as a new big opportunity for casino brands.
The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority said:
"Gaming is a responsible form of entertainment and leisure tourism that takes into consideration community, cultural and social norms".
Vitaly Umansky, Gambling Industry Analyst at Sanford C Bernstein Investment Company in Hong Kong, has noted that the UAE casinos will be hidden from view, like in Singapore.
