Ultimate Texas Hold’em Explained

Ultimate Texas Hold’em is similar to traditional Texas Hold’em. One difference is the gambler plays against the dealer — not other players. The hand begins with the player placing a blind and ante bet.

Once the bets are placed, the player and dealer each receive two hole cards. The player can then check or raise the ante four times. The dealer then reveals three community cards.

Then, the player can check or bet two times the ante if they checked previously. If they bet four times the ante after the hole cards, the player cannot bet further and must check.

The final two community cards are then revealed. At this point, the player cannot bet further unless they checked in each of the previous two rounds. The player and dealer reveal their hole cards, and the best combination wins.

With a progressive Ultimate Texas Hold’em table, the table provides an optional bet that gives the player a chance at winning the ever-growing progressive pool. The jackpot is only won with a royal flush, meaning the odds are slim.

Prior Caesars Winners

Last month, at another Caesars Entertainment property, Harrah’s Las Vegas, a player was the lucky winner of $918,430. The June 12 winner — who opted to remain anonymous — will purchase a house in Arizona with the money.

The patron was playing an Ultimate Texas Hold’em table game when they hit the Mega Progressive Jackpot. The winning hand was a royal flush of diamonds.

O July 22, a player won $128,657 while playing High Card Flush at the Paris Las Vegas Casino. The player hit a 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A suited jackpot, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The player chose not to release his or her name. The Paris is also a Caesars Entertainment property.

At still another Caesars venue, Bally’s Las Vegas, Rachel Hopper won a $113,423 jackpot playing Face Up Pai Gow on July 13, the Review-Journal reported. The winning hand was five aces. In the game, a joker can be used as an ace or can complete a flush or straight, the report explained.
