The latest news about casinos in the Netherlands has confirmed the information that Holland Casino – the land-based gambling industry monopolist owned by the country – will participate in a test program.
The program is aimed at the relaunch of public events in the Netherlands. However, the operator needs to test whether its casino venues will be safe for customers and employees.
Six casinos will reopen
The Holland Casino representatives have announced that six of its gambling venues will be able to open the doors for visitors again. In April, a limited number of customers will have the opportunity to visit casinos. It is a part of the Dutch governmental initiative to test whether the events can be held in the ordinary course but with pandemic-related restrictions.
Every visitor will need to have an obligatory COVID-19 test, as well as to remember about the social distance and follow the safety rules set by the operator. It has already stated that the company will have consultations with the local authorities to ensure responsible and appropriate pilot operation of casinos in Amsterdam West, Breda, Enschede, Venlo, Utrecht, and Leeuwarden.
