Dutch State-Owned Casino Launches Responsible Gambling Initiative

According to the latest news in the casino sector, Dutch state-owned gambling operator, Holland Casino, has presented a new initiative for responsible gambling in the country.

Holland Casino is going to collaborate with two major Dutch football clubs, Eredivisie and Keuken Kampioen Divisie, as well as with the sports broadcaster, ESPN, to promote responsible gambling among the Dutch players.

Dutch state operator and its partners are going to work on a series of projects to enhance sustainability and safety in the gambling sector in the upcoming four years. The start of the initiative coincides with the launch of the online gambling market in Holland, which is set for October 1, 2021.

Holland Casino will serve as wagering partner of Dutch football

The gambling news in the Netherlands also reports that, as of the start of the 2021/22 soccer season, the Holland Casino will be a responsible bookmaking partner of football in the country. The partnership will last for four years.

This is the second time the state-run casino operator invests in one of the most popular sports in Holland. From 2002 to 2005, Holland Casino was the sponsor of the top-tier Dutch football club, Eredivisie.

The Chairman of the Holland Casino, Erwin van Lambaart, has stated that this collaboration allows the gambling operator to reach a wider audience of betting enthusiasts while taking a sustainable and future-proof approach. Van Lambaart has also noted that the Holland Casino and its partners are aiming at reaching a balance between the attractiveness of the game and responsible gambling.
