Danske Spil Reports Satisfactory Financial Results in Q3 2021

According to the financial news from Danske Spil – Denmark’s state-owned gambling operator – its revenue for the third quarter of 2021 is bigger than during the same period in the previous year.

The company has reported an increase in GGR and successful performance in Q3 2021 despite the raised gambling taxes from 20% to 28% from January 2021 and the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company specified the most prosperous brands

According to the report, the total gross gaming revenue for the third quarter is DKK 3 537.3 million. The revenue is distributed among the operator’s companies as follows:

Danske Lotteri Spil – DKK 2 027.9 million;
Danske Licens Spil – 1 363.4 million;
Elite Gaming – DKK 130.9 million;
Swush – DKK 15.2 million.

The operator emphasized that the revenue from the lottery sector rose due to increased sales of certain products and bigger demand for the online channel. Danske Licens Spil has more profit based on the return of events in the most popular sports in the world in 2021 and the Olympic Games. Elite Gaming didn’t show good performance as the pandemic led to the temporary closure of gaming halls. Swush also benefited from sports events.

Danske Spil provided detailed information about the revenue:

profit from games – DKK 2 540.2 million;
profit for the period before taxation – DKK 1 574.6 million;
total profit – DKK 1 227.9 million.
