Today’s NBA Prop Picks: Wednesday, January 5, 2022

By | January 6, 2022

Yesterday was another winning day for our NBA props, with our Scottie Barnes, Harrison Barnes, and Pascal Siakam props hitting.

We have a very full Wednesday slate with 11 games on the schedule. Let’s add another winning day.

Here is a look at the NBA props that stand out from tonight’s schedule.

Top NBA Props for Wednesday, January 5

The NBA props listed below are from BetMGM.

NBA Prop Pick #1: Steph Curry Over 26.5 Points (-110)

With Curry any scoring prop is possible. This feels like a buying opportunity as he had a terrible game the last time out, scoring just nine points in the Warriors’ win over the Heat. That was a season-low, but I am more than willing to overlook it.

This was just the sixth time he has been under 20 points this season and in all of the other times, he was over 20 points the next game in every situation but one. Klay Thompson is not back yet, so they are still leaning on Curry pretty hard.

NBA Prop Pick #2: Kevon Looney Over 6.5 Rebounds (+108)

Forgive me if I am getting rebound crazy. Looney is not the focal point of the offense for the Warriors, but he gets his rebounds. This is right at his season average. The Mavs are not a strong rebounding team and are missing their three longest players. So, there should be lots of opportunities for Looney to get his hands on the ball at both ends of the court.

NBA Prop Pick #3: Aaron Gordon Over 4.5 Rebounds (+112)

Denver is going to need Jokic to score (see below) but they need players like Gordon to make contributions in other areas. Gordon is averaging 5.6 rebounds per game, and we are getting that plus value and he doesn’t even have to meet that average. Gordon has been over this number in the last two games (seven rebounds in each game).

NBA Prop Pick #4: Nikola Jokic Over 26.5 Points (-110)

Jokic is one of the most consistent scorers in the league and has five straight games with 20+ points. This game always gets a lot of attention because it is battle of the best defensive center in the league (Rudy Gobert) and the best offensive center (Jokic).

Jokic has made more than 52 percent of his shots historically against the Jazz so this one comes down to opportunity. The Nuggets are going to need Jokic to be the focal point and then some for the Nuggets to stay with the Jazz, and and Gobert does not like coming out to guard.
