Today’s NBA Prop Picks: Wednesday, January 12, 2022

By | January 12, 2022

Easy come easy go. After Monday’s strong week-opening performance, things evened up yesterday with a 1-4 mark with Tuesday’s NBA props.

Just one more point from D’Angelo Russell or one more rebound from Jonas Valanciunas would have made all the difference in the world. Who saw Russell getting pass-happy and posting 10 assists?

Tonight, we have a pretty full schedule with nine games to choose from.

Here is a look at the NBA props that stand out from tonight’s slate.

Top NBA Props for Wednesday, January 12

The NBA props listed below are from BetMGM.

NBA Prop Pick #1: Hassan Whiteside Under 13.5 Rebounds (-120)

With Rudy Gobert out, Whiteside is getting more minutes. That can help his production quite a bit, and in his last game, he posted 14 rebounds against the Pistons on Monday. He had only 15 boards combined in the two previous games though with the same level of minutes.

Cleveland is long in the frontcourt, so don’t expect him to dominate tonight. This number is a surprise, though it comes with an obvious premium.

NBA Prop Pick #2: Domantas Sabonis Over 20.5 Points (-115)

Sabonis has two triple-doubles in his last three games, so he is clearly playing at a high level. He wasn’t productive as a scorer last time out at Boston though, tallying only 11 points.

That creates the opportunity to get excellent prop betting value for him tonight as the Pacers host the Celtics. This number is just above his seasonal average of 19.1 points per game and therefore well within his reach.

He likely won’t grab 23 rebounds again but shooting 3 for 12 is just as rare. Those numbers will normalize tonight. Look for Sabonis to hit the 25-point mark and at least come close to his rebound average (12.0 RPG)

NBA Prop Pick #3: Robert Williams Over 9.5 Rebounds (-110)

In Monday’s overtime win over the Pacers, Williams grabbed 12 rebounds. That was impressive, especially given the fact that Sabonis grabbed 23 rebounds all by himself.

Williams is the Celtics’ best rebounder, and you can bet there will be more emphasis on cleaning up the glass in tonight’s rematch. He has double-digit rebounds in five of his last eight games do. This is becoming the norm for him and makes him an appealing NBA prop bet.

NBA Prop Pick #4: Luka Doncic Over 35.5 Points, Rebounds & Assists (-105)

Doncic is one of the most talented players in the league and since he returned for the Mavs they have been winning. Individually, he has been very productive. In Sunday’s win over the Chicago Bulls, he had 22 points, 14 rebounds, and 14 assists.

This number stands out among tonight’s NBA prop odds because it is well below seasonal averages. The Knicks have not been clamping down on foes this season as they did last season. I see no reason Doncic can’t have another strong game. He has surpassed this total in the last three games too.
