We finished 2-2 on NBA props yesterday. With Josh Hart coming through at +180 on his 3-pointer prop that puts us in the black for the day.
Who could have seen the Warriors-Bucks game playing out the way it did? Steph Curry played just 29 minutes and fell well short on points. He hasn’t played that few minutes in a game in two months.
The NFL playoffs begin tomorrow but we have a full nine-game schedule in the NBA tonight. Here is a look at the NBA props that stand out from tonight’s slate.
Top NBA Props for Friday, January 14
The NBA props listed below are from BetMGM.
NBA Prop Pick #1: Luka Doncic Over 26.5 Points (-110)
Doncic did not have his best game in a loss to the Knicks the other day. He cashed his combo prop thanks to a double-double but did not shoot well.
The Mavs are visiting the red-hot Grizzlies tonight and I am looking for Doncic to rise to the occasion. The Grizzlies are still missing Dillon Brooks and he is the best guy they have to defend him. Also, they are missing Steven Adams in the middle so there is less length to disrupt his forays to the basket.
NBA Prop Pick #2: Jalen Green Over 14.5 Points (-110)
Green started January with one of his best games of the season, a 29-point performance against the Nuggets. Since then, we have been getting a lot of average performances.
I really like the matchup tonight at Sacramento. There won’t be much defense played by either side and the Rockets are feeling good off of a win over the Spurs. Now is the time to get back on the Green bandwagon.
NBA Prop Pick #3: Saddiq Bey Over 3.5 Three-Pointers (+132)
Bey and rookie Cade Cunningham are the future for the Pistons. They are the offense, and Bey has the green light to shoot from deep. In January, only once has he had less than seven attempts from behind the arc.
One of the Pistons’ better wins this season was against the Raptors, a game in which he made 3 threes. He is shooting with more volume now and the payoff is great for him to hit more than that tonight.
NBA Prop Pick #4: Lauri Markkanen Over 13.5 Points (-105)
Cleveland refuses to slide thanks to their productive frontcourt. Markkanen seems to be enjoying his new team and the lowered expectations of the Cavs. He has been really good on this road trip, scoring 15+ points in three of four games. That is all we need from him tonight.
Also, the Cavs have a massive size advantage against the Spurs. With Markkanen playing a lot at the 3 he will get a lot of clean looks.
NBA Prop Pick #5: Lonzo Ball Over 23.5 Points Rebounds and Assists (-110)
Ball’s all-around game has been a major reason that the Bulls are soaring this season. He is one of the most unselfish players in the league, capable of stuffing a box score in many ways. We cashed with him on a scoring prop last week and most nights he is lined right at his average.
Tonight, Chicago gets a Golden State team that was just whipped by Milwaukee last night. Look for Ball to get lots of minutes for his defense and versatility. He has cashed at this level of production in three of the last four games.
